AMIDST THE PANDEMIC | A TRIBUTE TO HEALTHWORKERS

After a couple of enervated past days,
Nip of my neck and shoulders got tense,
Had to keep my eyes open and wide,
They were alot, who would need me,
detailed care For Some,
And for some,
Just a while was enough.
Amidst the Pandemic! 

Its already hell in that suit, 

Sweat and heat, 

And With mask on, 

so difficult to breathe.! 

Where moisture embrace all your face, 

Where, you force yourself 

To not to think about your thirst, 

Because of limited number Of PPE you will get.! 

Though with choas all around, 

It was better than night. 

here, at least my fears abandoned me, 

And so my frightening thoughts

Of sickness and demise. 

That I could catch myself, 

Or could bring to my tribe. 

After 12 hours of nerve wrecking hassle, 

My duty hours ended, 

had all of my energy drained, 

But Struggle wasn't ceased yet.! 

I had to lay in my rented sojourn, 

With my agonies, all alone, 

Away from warmth of my home. 

Comfort of pillow was relieving my fatigues, 

To absorb it a bit, 

I Put my arm under my ear, 

Heard the ticking of my own pulse.! 

Like a bomb getting near, 

To its blast. 

Just like the fear, 

The fear of damage, 

In coming days is getting onto its new heights, 

After eternal long times.

While witnessing me Struggling, 

with my exhaustion and drowsiness. 

Clock kept dragging its crutches, 

Till the Dawn sprouted,

Cellphone beeped, 
For seven. 

Last night, The burdens I brought with me, 

Accompanied me, to my duty destination. 

With few lines that were stamped 
on my script, since forever. 

It will be alright, 

we will get past it. 

After all, 

Nothing does last for ever.
