AN ALIVE DOLL : CHILDREN FANTASY

AN ALIVE DOLL 
  

Anna was the only child of her parents. They loved her more than any other thing in world and always tried to make her happy by fulfilling all her wishes.

One day anna went to shopping with her mom, mom bought some things for herself and Anna's father and alot for Anna , including some clothes, toys, Sweet popcorns. On their way back, they saw an old man with long white beard, blue jacket and long boots on. He was selling toys. He saw Anna and offered her to buy most beautiful doll he had ever had, according to him. Anna was mesmerized by doll's beautiful hair, they were long silky blond hair tied into a ribbon.

Anna's mom out of pitty with old age seller of toys payed some extra dollars for doll and started walking towards home again.
Anna was very happy and excited to play with her new doll. After arriving home her mother left her in her toy room and started making dinner for three . 

Anna started playing with her doll. She was very attracted to her blonde hair, opened her hair tie. As soon as she untied her hair, doll's skin turned into smooth like human touch, and once doll blinked too. Anna out of her childish curiosity thought it was interesting. She tried to shake doll's hand and her response was humane. 

With further playfulness doll smiled at little girl in front of her and thought to her "such a beautiful little girl".

Anna started to hum, doll hummed back too. Now it was interesting for anna that her doll could talk. "What is your name? cute doll" Anna asked politely . Doll tried to speak up but it all came in squeaky voice. "Its because i have not spoken since long" , she thought in her tiny blonde head. "I am Elaine ". 

"Hmm, As beautiful as you are" , Anna's eyes sparkled. She had a tiny and beautiful friend now. "How come you are this little, Why are not you like me? " Anna asked her new friend. 

Elaine was sad after she asked this and was hesitatant to answer, but she decided to share it rather than keeping it in herself.
Before she could say anything further, Anna's mother walked in," whom you are talking to, dear ? ", she asked surprisingly. "No one! I am just playing by myself" Anna replied. 

"Oh, hmm okay, put your toys back in their place and lemme place your dinner at table", Her mother said. "Okay i will be there in a few minutes", Anna smiled at her mom. 

"Hey Elaine i will be back "Anna said to her new doll as soon as her mother left, " will come back later may be, to listen your story ".
Soon she left. After dinner she came back as asked Elaine to continue ;  " I was a human just like you till few years back and  had beautiful life living in house built in middle of meadows. I had friends, loving parents and a younger sister. We used to walk far away from our homes and enjoy playing hide and seek in nearby forest. 

One day we went more far than usual and when everyone was playing I tried to sneak behind a tree laden with apples. From all the walk towards forest I was tired and started to feel hungry, I grabbed an apple and started to eat it after I was all finished I noticed my body size started to shrink and in few seconds i was of a doll's size.

 I tried to run towards my friends but my tiny legs could jump for just few steps when someone grabbed my hair and tied them in a pony tail. 

All my efforts to walk, talk or for any act ended right there and now I was a complete doll. 

Then I saw the person who tied my hair up that was as little as I were, she was an old woman, wearing beautiful clothes of her size, she started shouting to call her people.
Now there was a bunch of beautifully dressed little monsters, they started drag me upto tree and put me into a nest.

Few days later I overheard them saying that all my energy and will power was tied along with my hair and i won't be able to run away all by myself so they don't need to worry about me and shall start looking for some other residence for upcoming autumn and winter seasons. 

Few days passed, they were busy in making some other place worth living for themselves,  an old man came by the apple tree. Few moments later, he noticed me and said to me that I know if I make you eat this left over apple of tree, pointing towards only apple left, you will be free." But Why will I do this when I can make few bucks by selling you ", Old man laughed at me.
He took me from tree and started walking towards city  market for fulfilling his need . "Now here i am, a toy", Elaine sobbed. 

Anna was shocked by hearing Elaine's story, she felt pitty for her. " So, what if i go there and take that apple for you to make you set free? " asked Anna. " Why would you do that?, strangers are merciless, so far this is what i have came up with, from my life experience, " asked Elaine. "May be this time, a different kind of stranger has crossed your path" Anna winked at her. "Let's see", Elaine smiled back sadly.
" Anna, honey!, you still in your play area?" Anna heard her mom calling her name. "Yeah i am coming mom ", She shouted back. 

After getting all necessary information about Elaine's home, forest and that apple tree, Anna left her alone. 

Anna's mother took her to bed and tried to make her fall asleep, she noticed Anna was constantly thinking about something, her mother tried to ask her and dig her thoughts but there was no successful attempt. 

"Hey sweetie" by listening this voice Anna wide opened her eyes with big smile on her face, "Hey Dad! " she said in her happily chirping voice. "But i don't talk to you, you have come home late again, it's my bed time almost, i didn't get to play with you" her voice's pitch was low this time . 

Her Dad kissed her on forehead, "I am sorry honey, Dad had  to work till late. But now I am home I will be with you until you fall asleep".
"Okay ", she smiled at him. 

Soon she fell asleep. Next day she woke up, it was Sunday, she thought about talking to her parents about doll and then she did. Their first reaction was of Kinda disbelief but then they talked to Elaine themselves. Anna told them that she wanted to help Elaine, to get her go back to her parents and sister. They appreciated Anna and made a plan for searching for her home. 

Anna's dad took monday off from work and went to search for that old seller of toys, who was still selling toys. He took that old man along with Anna, her mother and Elaine to the forest. 

Old man guided them to that autumn struck apple tree. Unfortunately there was  no apple on it. 

They asked beggar if he was sure about that tree.  He nodded his head in yes . "May be it fell off the tree, lets search it off on ground", he proposed . 

They all started to look for it. After half an hour Anna's father came happily shouting about apple he found nearby under a stone.
They washed it and gave it to Elaine. She took a very tiny bite by her small mouth. Soon as she started to eat it. Her size started to increase simultaneously. They were all the way shouting in their excitement and happiness until she finished it. 

She was even more beautiful in her original form, crying tears of happiness and gratitude. Anna and her family consoled her and started looking for meadows where she used to live.

Soon they were at the front door of Elaine's house,  she knocked in a happily confused way. Few moments later, door opened by her sister, she started screaming excitedly while tears rolled down her cheeks then she jumped and hugged her lost sister. By listening to screams their parents came over and saw Elaine, their reaction was not different from Elaine's sister.

They invited the rescuers of their daughter to home, thanked them and made them stay there for couple of days. Few days after when Anna  and her parents left , each of them had a friend and knew that they got a new family here, living in a beautiful place. To help those who are in need was the thing that Anna learnt from this and Elaine's faith in good strangers was restored again , a beautiful chapter of their lives it was.
